Nature's Fashion Show: Most Uniquely Patterned Animals on Earth

7.A Squirrel With Three Different Colors

An amazing illustration of genetic variety among wild animals, this tricoloured squirrel Black, brown, and blonde fur taken in separate portions gives a look like a natural patchwork. Given squirrels usually show homogeneous colouring, this uncommon colour pattern is quite amazing. Given the varied colour portions are so clearly defined, the analogy to a composite of three different squirrel species is really appropriate. Though the tri-color pattern of this particular animal seems to be even more apparent in segmentation, this sighting makes intriguing comparisons to the more famously known Malabar gigantic squirrel.
