The Plan
The idea was quite simple in and of itself: get out of jail and swim all the way to the coast. With relation to the practice, on the other hand, it would be quite improbable. Previously mentioned was the fact that 36 inmates had died trying to do the exact same duty; why should this be any different?

They would have to bring all of their significant information and expertise to the table as well as create an amazing degree of trust and loyalty among themselves if they were to be successful in this effort. Some of the other detainees even called them nuts, so they knew the chances were stacked against them as well. They were ready to walk magnificently on the thin line separating those who are crazy from those who are smart, though.
