The Anglin twins experienced their fair share of disasters before they joined the other competitors on "The Rock. Many times they had tried to flee the Atlanta Penitentiary, but they were unable. Their constant revolt finally led to their being transferred to Alcatraz, where they met the other members of their team.

Once every squad member had been chosen, the four of them tried to carry out their all-encompassing plan—that is, escape from the most guarded prison on Earth. Working together, the group had acquired a tremendous deal of knowledge on how to get past the wardens and break out from their captivity.
