The first obstacle
Unlike Morris and the siblings, who finished their holes with reasonable simplicity, Allen, the fourth member, was finding some trouble navigating his holes. He seems to have made a mistake in his calculations even though he had expected he had attained the suitable weight. Having waited for him to round out and complete building the hole in his cage for several months, the three other members had grown agitated. They had been expecting him to do both of these tasks.
It was thought it would be best to leave him behind with no more help after several hours of fruitless attempts to assist him. After all the work he had put in, can you even begin to understand the feelings he must have been feeling, left behind by the others? Has he just cursed his own life or saved it?
