The Maze
In essence, the utility corridor behind the cells provided a non-supervised recreational space for the prisoners. They would first have to destroy a lot of the bricks kept in their individual cells before making sure the area was large enough for them to climb through, therefore gaining access to the utility corridor and ascending to the top.

The next actions would call for praying, which would follow climbing the three (3) flights of stairs to reach the top of the roof. To get to the roof, they would have to open one of the shafts following their highest point of the building. They got right to work on their ideas after seeing one of the shafts had not been cemented over.
